Two scholarships
each worth S$1000 per year were launched during the School's Golden Jubilee
Dinner and Dance on Aug 2002. They are namely :

of OBA Scholarships :
The
late Mr E.W. Jesudason was the Principal of Bartley for many years (1955 to
1962), and had brought fame and glory to the school during his watch.
The
aim of these Scholarships is to encourage and assist deserving students with
outstanding academic and leadership qualities, performance and potentials. The
Scholarships are made possible only because of the generous support from several
OBA members, for which we express our grateful thanks and deep appreciation.
The pledges have been as follows:
Koh
Choon Hui is from the 1959 cohort and is one of our outstanding Alumnus who
has served as Chair-man, Bartley SAC for many years, contributing

One pledge for onetime donation of S$1000.
c.
One pledge for onetime donation of S$500.
The
funds pledged will only see the Scholarships through for a limited number of
years, and we hope other equally concerned and generous members will come forward
to keep the funds flowing so that these Scholarships could be implemented indefinitely.

substantial time and resources unstintingly to the SAC, OBA and the School.
He is Chairman of the Roche Singapore as well as Chairman of the Singapore Children’s
Society, among other public appointments. In appreciation for his excellent
contributions to public service he has been bestowed a number of awards by the
government of Singapore.

OBA Scholarship in memory of former Bartleyan, the late Mr Brandon Loo Ngiap Beng.
a. In addition to the above, in 2005 another scholarship was created through the generosity of member Captain Dilip Padbidri (1969 - 1970: See "Outstanding Bartleyan" page) in memory of his close friend and classmate, Brandon Loo Ngiap Beng (1965 - 1971), who succumbed to SARs in 2003.
b. This scholarship is tenable for three years at $1,000 per year.
c. The winner of this scholarship in 2005 was - Yeo Zhiyan.
