Mr S. Vivakanandan Chief Executive Officer Singapore Indian Development Association (SINDA) Class of 1975 - 1978

Mr S. Vivakanandan is the Chief Executive Officer, Singapore Indian Development Association (SINDA). Prior to joining SINDA in May 1998, he was with Sentosa Development Corporation and National Council of Social Services (NCSS). At NCSS, he held the Divisional Director of Services and Planning and Policy portfolios.

Among his other appointments include: Chairman - Bukit Batok Home for the Aged, Deputy Chairman - IT Services Co-operative Limited and member of Council on Governance of Institutions of a Public Character, National Library Board, Lifelong Learning Endowment Fund Advisory Council, Umar Pulavar Scholarship Trust Fund, Indian Central School Advisory Board, and the Singapore Indian Education Trust. He has previously served in the Board of the Society for the Physically Disabled and was the Chairman of the SPD-HOPE Scholarship Fund.

Mr S. Vivakanandan has a Master's Degree from University of Sydney, Australia and a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) from National University of Singapore.

He studied in Bartley between 1975 - 1978. In Bartley, he was in the School Hockey Team as well as in the Debating Team.
