Mr Tan Ser Ping Chief Executive Officer Ascendas-MGM Funds Management Ltd Class of 1971 - 1974

Mr Tan Ser Ping is the Chief Executive Officer of Ascendas-MGM Funds Management Limited (AMGM), the manager of Ascendas Real Estate Investment Trust (A-REIT).

Before joining Ascendas in 2001, Mr Tan was Senior General Manager for the Singapore Suzhou Industrial Park Development Company Ltd, Residential & Commercial Business Group. In his nearly 20 years of working experience, he also held senior positions in various banks including the Bank of America, Standard Chartered Bank and United Overseas Bank.

Mr Tan graduated from the National University of Singapore with a Bachelor of Accountancy (Honours) degree. He obtained his Masters in Business Administration from the University of Leicester, UK.

Mr Tan advises everyone that, if given the opportunity, one should venture overseas, and with an open-mind. This would  allow one to see and understand more about the world, and help to enhance and widen one's experience and perspective, as well as develop one's overall capacity for various challenges.

H e also believes in being passionate with one's commitments, and to do one's best in any endeavour, as only then can one stand the best chance for success.
