Mr Phuah Cheng Kok Vice President, Field Fujitec Singapore Corporation Ltd Class of 1966 - 1969

Mr Phuah is the Vice President of Fujitec Singapore, which is also the group's Headquarters for South Asia Market, exporting product and services to Thailand, Malaysia, Vietnam, Myanmar, Indonesia, and the Philippines.

Mr Phuah has 20 over years of lift business and maintenance experience. In Singapore, Fujitec is in charge of about 10,000 HDB lifts across the island.

In the 2004 islandwide blackout in Singapore whereby some HDB dwellers were trapped and hurt when they got caught in the lift, Mr Phuah was interviewed by Channel NewsAsia to share his views on the safety precautions to be put in place to safeguard residents' safety during such occurrences.   

Cheng Kok recalls his school days as the “kampong days” where boys played typically with self-made toys. It is this lack of the modern technology  gadgets that he strongly felt, and prompted him into developing his skills in learning, professionalism and leadership.

Though school life may be playful, however, he acquired the foundation needed for future achievements and the skills to handle challenges in the working society.

Currently married with two teenage boys, he plays golf and bowling for leisure.
