Mr Ng Khoon Lye Managing Director & Board Member Hamilton Sundstrand Pacific Aerospace Class of 1966 - 1971

Mr Ng Khoon Lye graduated from University of Singapore with a Mechanical Engineering (Hons) degree, and Master degree in Industrial & Systems Engineering from National University of Singapore.

A self-confessed average student, he felt Bartley has allowed him to develop at his own pace. He is grateful that his previous employer, Singapore Technologies, sent him to management development programs at Harvard Business School and at PSB in conjunction with University of Chicago.

Khoon Lye spent 16 years with Singapore Aerospace Manufacturing before leaving as its Assistant General Manager to join Honeywell as its Managing Director. After 9 years with Honeywell, he joins Hamilton Sundstrand Pacific Aerospace as its Managing Director. His whole career is in Aerospace and Manufacturing.

In school, Khoon Lye was a member of Bartley Cadet Corp (now NCC Land), which built his character, along with instilling discipline and leadership qualities. He enjoyed the trainings by the Royal Navy and was the Best Cadet in the 1968 NCO training. He remembered cyclostyling the school paper, Berita Bartley, from 1967 to 1969.

He mentions that his achievements come with hard work, perseverance, continuous learning, and the good values imparted from Bartley teachers and his family.

During his leisure times, he likes to read, swim and jog.
